SimplySiti C Bright Review-Product by Dato' Siti Nurhaliza

Hello dear readers..
Today I’m going to be giving a review on Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza’s skincare line that I have been using. It comes in two ranges. One is for anti-aging (New Age) and the other is for whitening (C Bright). I bought the starter kit for the whitening range which is RM29.90 The kit contains a 20ml C Bright Cleansing Foam, 10ml C Bright Simply 5 Cream (day cream which has SPF20) and 7 samples of C Bright Radiance Dual Serum for night time (0.6ml each). The whole C Bright range has 4 other products which are C Bright White Toner, C Bright Cleansing Lotion, C Bright Exfoliant and C Bright Mask Sheet.

Okay, so I’ll be going into the ingredients and properties of the products before my review of it. The Opuntia Tuna flower and stem extract, Korean Pine Tree (Pinus Strobus) axtract and Arbutin (extracted from bearberries) contained in this products helps to hydrate skin and improve skin tone by inhibiting the melanin production of the skin aside from breaking up excesses of melanin deposits to lighten the skin. It also protects skin against damages caused by free radicals which results in supple, smooth and radiant skin.

Now on to my favourite part… My review of the products. The first product is the facial foam. It has a very slight grainy texture, kind of like the texture of micro dermabration cream. My skin became noticeably softer after only 3 days of using this. It cleans nicely but I don't think that it can be used to wash away makeup. I still needed to use a makeup remover before cleansing with this facial foam especially when I use waterproof makeup.

The Simply 5 cream has a tint to it and I think it’s actually a BB cream. I had to use this sparingly because if I use too much my face becomes overly white. What I love about this product is that it dramatically reduces the shine on my face. I tried using this and minus my usual face powder and at the end of the day my face didn't have the 'oil-slick' look that I usually do. It's pretty amazing. The only problem I have with it is that if I use this I can't use my usual face powder because on top of this tinted formula, my face looks ashy. I have to top my face powder with a bronzer to balance things up.

Lastly is the Radiance Dual Serum. This serum needs to be mixed together before applying to the skin. I didn't quite like the sample that came with the starter kit because I feel that it was so hard to squeeze the serum out. I end up peeling the foil backing of the serum sample, scoop both of the serums on the back of my hand to mix it up before applying it on my face and neck. I also put it on my elbows because there is so much excess serum. My skin became smoother after a 5 days of using this.

Overall I get to see great results from these products after only a few days of using it. My skin is smoother, less oily, softer and I have noticably less white heads. I definitely recommend this range to all. If you have sensitive skin, consult with the girls at the SimplySiti skincare counter, do a patch test with the samples available or you can buy a starter kit like I did to test it out if you have hygene issues on the samples. The price is very reasonable too, between RM29.90 to RM 59.90.

This is all for now dear readers. Cheers!

P/S: I wanted to include pictures of the product but my Broadband has been very slow lately so I will be adding the picture to this post as soon as I can.. Thank you for your patience.. :)

My Review: The Face Shop VitaC Face Mask

Last week there was a sale at The Face Shop and since their sheet masks were quite cheap (below RM5/each) after discount, I decided to buy a few and give it a go. I bought a Cereal Mask Sheet (for soft, clear skin), VitaC Mask Sheet (to brighten skin) and Pearl Essential Mask Sheet (for clearer skin).
I tried the VitaC mask today. This is my first time EVER trying on a sheet mask so I truly didn’t know what to expect.

As the name suggests, the VitaC mask is formulated with Vitamin C. It contains Raspberries and Strawberry extracts to brighten dull skin tones and fight Free Radicals. The Patented Phytolex Nanoliposome in this mask effectively delivers beneficial ingredients deep into the skin & helps protect tired, rough skin from environmental damages.

What is Phytolex Nanoliposome?
It is a composite of ceramide & natural plant extracts of Mung Bean, White Birch & Runex Crispus L.

Instructions:
  1. Wash face.
  2. Remove mask sheet from package and unfold.
  3. Carefully fit mask sheet over face.
  4. Remove mask after 15-20 minutes. Gently pat remaining formula into skin.
My Review:

It was a bit messy to apply because the sheet mask is drenched in a creamy textured essence. I experienced a slight itchy feeling on my right cheek after the first 5 minutes of putting it on but it went away not long after that. Patting the remaining formula on my skin after removing the sheet mask instead of washing it off made my skin feel, well, sticky.
You know how your skin feels like at the end of the day after work and exposure to grease and grime? That’s exactly how it feels like. I let it be for a few hours to reap as much benefit as I can and washed it off before going to bed. You don’t have to, I just couldn’t stand going to bed with a ‘sticky’ face. Overall, I don’t feel or see much difference to my skin after using this mask and I don’t like how the leftover formula felt on my skin either so I don’t think I’ll be buying it again.
